Magazine Cover

For my magazine cover I chose to do a fashion magazine. I chose Madison as my model because I knew she would have something cute to wear for the picture. My magazine is called The WORD. If this was a real magazine it would be the December edition so my articles were about Christmas and things involving winter.
The process was first I took several pictures of Madi and then uploaded them onto the computer. I put the picture I chose in photoshop and cut her out of it and then placed her on a blank document. Then I changed the color of the background and added text boxes so I could add words over  top of everything. For my small pictures I took a picture of scarves from off of the internet and my picture of nail polish I took myself.  I just cut the pictures and made them smaller. I did this same process for the bar code and just placed a text box over it so I could add a price. After I was done with everything I went to Layer and flattened it.

Light and Dark Photos

For this project we took pictures in the light with our flash on and pictures in the dark with our flash on. Then we photoshopped the pictures by turning them black and white and lassoing the part of the object that we wanted to highlight. We also had to take some pictures of multiple objects that were the same. I was able to highlight the object by setting the opacity to 50% and using the brush tool to go over my selected area.

Straight Photography With a Border

For this project we started out by taking close up pictures of one object, which is called straight photography. These are photos of various items around our school and art room. I uploaded them onto photoshop the same way I have for the rest of them. After I uploaded them I cropped them to how I wanted it so it was an even closer up image. Then I added a border by pushing the command and A at the same time. This highlights the whole photo and from there I simply just pushed Select, Modify, then Borders. It gave me an outline that I followed and painted on the border. I used many different types of paint brushes to give the borders a different effect. The first photo is of a locker latch, I used a blue border for this picture. My second photo is a close up of a scale in the art room that i added a black border to. The third photo I took was of a door hinge. My forth photo is a close up of a clock. I added two borders to it by doing the process twice. My last photo is of a spool of wire that i found in the art room.

Changed Hair Color

On this photoshop project I chose to change hair color. I read through an online tutorial that gave me step by step directions on how to change the color of hair. First off I found a picture of someone with hair on the internet and pasted it into photoshop. From then on I changed the backgrounds and chose a hair color. To get the highlights in her hair i used a paintbrush.

Photo Name

 I chose to use my last name. First off i started by looking around the art room for objects that looked like the letters in my name. The letter B I found in the art room it was a cardboard cut out of someone's project. The second letter of my last name is O, it was a flower that i have in my room. My W was formed from my brother's belt. The last letter of my last name is a N i made a N by using 3 paint brushes from our art room.

After I had all of my pictures taken, I uploaded them onto the computer and put them into photoshop. Then I cut the photos to the right size. After that I clicked on file, new, blank file. Then began to move the photos into the new file and used the ruler option to size them all the same. Once they were all sized how i wanted them I saved the file.
